Thirteen Long Beach Unified School District schools have earned 2026 California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Recognition, highlighting their work to create positive, supportive and inclusive learning environments where students can thrive.
The Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education approved the selection of David Zaid as the District’s next superintendent. Mr. Zaid will begin on July 1 and lead the District into its next era of excellence.

Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to eligible children enrolled in School Age Care or Expanded Learning Opportunities Program at 41 locations as part of the Long Beach Unified School District’s Summer Food Service Program.
